Until now, I've had the pleasure of sharing various stories and factual accounts of the history of British Railways with you all. There comes a time, however, that one person's knowledge / experience is limited, and that I have now encountered.
My suggestion is such :- To include stories & accounts which readers of The Crypt would like to see, or make known to others. Not just from the footplate, but from all manner of railway employment, where a plethora of amusing tales must be hiding.
So, if you have any stories or experiences relating to the days of steam, we'd like to hear from you, by E-mail, to nine-f@ connectfree.co.uk.
Also, any suggestions for inclusion (of particular locos, stories, etc.), please let us know.
